摘要 Technical field: The electroretinogram (ERG) is used in medical diagnosis. The term refers to measurement of the difference in the electrical potential between the cornea of the eye and the temporal bone after stimulation of the eye with a flash of light. The shape and magnitude of the response amplitude allow conclusions about the function of the retina. Problem: The previously conventional devices have been too large, inflexible in terms of generation of the stimulus, unfriendly to the user, which leads to erroneous operation, they have not had a high performance and they do not meet international standards. Solution: A computer-controlled system for generating the photostimuli and for measuring the electrical responses. It controls the type of photostimuli, measures the ERGs of both eyes simultaneously and records the light intensity used. The curves are evaluated automatically. The measurement curves and the results of the evaluation are printed out on a printer with graphics capabilities. Possible applications: In ophthalmological practices, hospitals, operating theatres and in outpatient departments.
