The vaneless diffuser for correcting nonuniform flow exiting radially from an impeller comprising a housing attachable around the impeller and defining a passage for receiving the nonuniform flow exiting from the impeller. The passage extends radially from the impeller and is defined between a first wall for bordering the side of the nonuniform flow. The first wall and second wall has an upstream end proximal the impeller. The passage has no structure that extends across it from the first wall to the second wall. Low ribs extending from the first wall partially into the passage and are arranged around the upstream end in a first pattern. |
