PURPOSE:To clean an exhaust reflux passage, and prevent stably for a long time, carbon and the like from being sucked into a supercharger so as to ensure improvement of reliability, in the exhaust gas reflux device for an engine for returning exhaust gas into the intake passage of the upper stream side of the supercharger through the exhaust reflux passage. CONSTITUTION:A filter 24 is arranged to collect carbon in reflux exhaust gas and the like into an exhaust reflux passage 23, and the exhaust reflux passage 23 of the down stream side of the filter 24 is connected to the intake passage 5 of the down stream side of a supercharger 10 through a communicating passage 27. A valve 28 for opening/closing this communicating passage 27 is provided, and it is opened when an engine 1 is decelerated so as to return intake air discharged from the supercharger 10 in the exhaust reflux passage 23 through the filter 24. Carbon and moisture in the filter 24 in the exhaust reflux passage 23 are eliminated by intake air discharged from the supercharger 10. When condition of the engine 1 is converted from decelerating condition into accelerating condition, intake air in the exhaust reflux passage 23 is supplied to the upper stream side of the supercharger 10 so as to improve accelerating performance. |
