PURPOSE: To prevent an extreme fuel flux wide part and unequal fuel flux images from being generated, in a fuel injection valve of an internal combustion engine. CONSTITUTION: A cylindrical passage section 9 is connected to a conical inclined part 10, a widening part 30 extends from the passage section 9 to a minimum opening part 33 and changed to an injection passage 11 at a maximum opening part 34. The diameter of the maximum opening part 34 of the conical widening part 30 is larger than that of the minimum opening part 33 of the conical widening part 30 by at least 10%, or 50% in maximum, the widening angle of the wall part 28 of the conical widening part 30 is in the range of 20 deg. to 30 deg. in relation to the wall part 27 of the passage section 9, and the sum of the axial length of the conical widening part 30 and the axial length of the injection passage 11 is at least 60% of the diameter of the minimum opening part 33 of the conical widening part 30, or 180% in maximum.
