The present invention relates to a stabilised earth structure having a substantially vertical front face and is stabilised by layers of substantially horizontal strips extending rearwardly from the front face. Each strip is bolted at its rear end to an anchor member, which may consist of a plate arranged at right angles to the line of the strip, or of a plate arranged parallel to the strip.
