3-Aryluracil derivatives of the formula I <IMAGE> (I) in which -W- is the group <IMAGE> where the ring nitrogen atom is bonded via the C atom; R1 is hydrogen, C1-C4alkyl, C1-C4haloalkyl, C3alkenyl or C4alkenyl or C3alkynyl or C4alkynyl; R2 is halogen or cyano; R3 is hydrogen or halogen; R4 is hydrogen, halogen or C1-C4alkyl; R5 is C1-C4alkyl or C1-C4haloalkyl; or R4 and R5 together are -(CH2)n-; n is the number 3 or 4; R13 is C1-C4alkyl, C3alkenyl or C4alkynyl or C3alkynyl or C4alkynyl; and Q is one of the groups a) to e): <IMAGE> (1) <IMAGE> (2) <IMAGE> (3) <IMAGE> (4) <IMAGE> (5) where R6 to R12 are substituents, m is 3, 4 or 5, X is oxygen or sulfur and t is 2, 3 or 4, and if R1 is hydrogen, the agrochemically acceptable salts of compounds of the formula I. the compounds of formula I have herbicidal properties and are suitable as the active ingredient in a herbicide.
