PURPOSE:To obtain a zircon non-fired brick for lining aluminum melting converter by adding borax and a binder into zircon containing silica rock and a binder clay, kneading, molding and drying. CONSTITUTION:The non-fired brick for lining aluminum melting converter is obtained by adding 3-5wt.% borax and the binder into 100wt.% composition containing 2 85wt.% zircon, 5-1wt.% silica rock and balance the binder clay in external multiplication, kneading, compacting and drying. The non-fired brick is of a vibration and flowed-in type adapted also for a type for constructing the aluminum melting converter by directly vibrating and flowed-in compacting. When the zircon-borax based non-fired brick is applied to the inside of the aluminum melting converter, any damage is not generated even in six months and the service life is prolonged compared with the conventional high alumina material or alumina material. |
