<p>PURPOSE:To provide a steering device for a vehicle of excellent loading efficiently by using one electric motor as a power supply of a power steering mechanism and a rear wheel steering mechanism. CONSTITUTION:In the case of a vehicle, a power steering mechanism given to a front wheel steering device and a rear wheel steering mechanism are controlled by a power supply of one electric motor 20. Driving force of the electric motor 20, is changed over on the side of lower speed with specified car speed as a border, from a speed reducer 25 for power steering to the power steering mechanism of a rear step through an electromagnetic clutch 24 for power steering drive. In the meantime, on the side of middle and high speed, it is changed over from a speed reducer 35 for rear wheel steering to the rear wheel steering mechanism through an electromagnetic clutch 34 for rear wheel steering drive. These transmission routes are monitored for every changeover, and certain changeover is performed. Consequently, a steering device for the vehicle becomes a practical system furnished with both of power assist of front wheel steering at low speed and operational stability at middle and high speed.</p> |
