<p>PURPOSE:To provide a head lamp, in which a distribution of luminous intensity can be switched without using any movable part, for a vehicle. CONSTITUTION:In a vehicle head lamp 1 consisting of a light source 5 and a lens 6 regulating a light beam from the light source 5, a transmittance variable member 4 is arranged in the position in which an optical path of tone light beam from the light source 5 is intercepted in a part of the head lamp 1. A substance, in which transmissiveness and untransmissiveness can be switched to each other by impressing a voltage, is available for the transmittance variable member 4. Alternatively, the transmittance variable member 4 may be installed between the light source 5 and the lens 6 or in a part of the lens system.</p> |
