PREPARATION OF COMPOSITE YARN

PURPOSE: To provide a manufacturing method of stable composite thread in which both filaments are uniformly mixed and any waving phenomena in the obtained thread can not be found. CONSTITUTION: A composite thread is manufactured by combining glass filaments 2 extruded from a die 1 with thermoplastic filaments 5 and 10 extruded from at least one drawing head 7 so that the filaments 10 of a sheet shape are mixed with a bundle or sheet of the filaments 2. The rate of the filaments 10 during their penetration into the bundle or sheet of the filaments 2 is made greater than the drawing rate of the filaments 2. Its manufacturing apparatus is also disclosed.
