PURPOSE: To obtain a multicolor transfer print by a single laser print by successively laminating the first dye layer comprising a specified color element dye and a plurality of dye layers comprising respectively a different color element dye from the above described color element dye on a support. CONSTITUTION: A coating liq. for a dye layer is prepd. by dissolving at least one dye selected from cyan dyes, mazenta dyes and yellow dyes being sublimation dyes, a binder and a laser light-absorbing substance in a solvent. The fist dye layer is formed by applying and drying this coating liq. on a support such as a plastic film. A beads coating liq. is prepd. by mixing and agitating at least one dye with a different color from the first dye, a water-soluble material such as polyvinyl alcohol and a laser light-absorbing substance in water. The second dye layer is laminated by applying and drying this beads coating liq. on the first dye layer to obtain a multicolor layer dye-donor element. As the practical examples for the laser-light absorbing substances, carbon black, cyanin-type laser light-absorbing dyes, etc., are cited. |
