<p>PURPOSE:To simplify provision of information on a kind of vehicle to a part itself by a method wherein the position of the specified dot position of a plurality of spot weld dots is dotted in a manner to be displaced classified by a kind of a part and information inherent to a part and classified by a kind is produced through combination of one dot position with other dot position to form a spot weld dot at the initial stage of a process, and the spot weld dot is optically read. CONSTITUTION:When information on a kind of a vehicle is provided to, for example, an engine compartment Ec, the press marks of spot weld dots S, S... are utilized as an information bit. Namely, one of the spot weld dot positions S, S... is used and the spot weld dot position S is consciously displaced by a given amount. The positions and the number of the spot weld dots S, S... equivalent to a plurality of bits are combined together to form an information medium which can be read by an optical reading device. The information media are formed in, for example, dot positions S1-S17 and specified information is display by laterally shifting the dot positions S3 and S16 by a given amount (e).</p> |
