EXHAUST MANIFOLD AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PURPOSE:To manufacture an exhaust manifold by using sheet metal with a low welding amount. CONSTITUTION:A megaphone-form hollow body is formed of a sheet metal. The large diameter side is molded to form a multibranch part 5 having exhaust gas passages 5a, 5b, 5c, and 5d on the inlet side and flanges 7 superposed with each other between the exhaust passages. By cutting the intermediate part of the flange, a U-shaped flange 7 is formed and airtight welding is executed between the upper and lower flanges.
