PURPOSE: To provide a process and apparatus for producing surface sheets suitable for use as surface sheets of laminated material, impregnated with a thermosetting resin and having a layer of abrasion-resistant particles. CONSTITUTION: The process is proceeded by using an apparatus 10 including a rotary head 138, a conveyer 107 carrying a web underward of the rotary head, a spray arm 134, one end of which is attached to the rotary head and equipped with spray pistols 136 on the other end and a conduit guiding abrasion- resistant liq. slurry and air to the spray pistols. The spray of the slurry is carried out after proceeding a first impregnation treatment and removing an excess of the impregnating agent. |
