PRODUCTION OF PERMANENT MAGNET MATERIAL OF RARE EARTH-IRON-NITRIDE SYSTEM

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide the process for production of the permanent magnet material which can improve the magnetic characteristics of the permanent magnet material of a rare earth-iron-nitride system as far as possible. CONSTITUTION:The magnet material of the rare earth-iron system is first formed to a blank material in a crude powder or bulky form and this blank material is subjected to a heating treatment in the crude powder or bulky form in a nonoxidative atmosphere, by which sufficient cracks are generated in the blank material. The blank material is thereafter subjected to a nitriding treatment by intruding nitrogen into these cracks and is then subjected to a pulverization treatment, by which fine powder is obtd.
