PURPOSE:To obtain a lightweight fiber reinforced thermoplastic resin molded object having sufficient strength and capable of being recycled. CONSTITUTION:Fiber reinforced thermoplastic resin preformed objects A2, B2 are mounted on the molding surface of a mold 1 so that a cavity is formed by the preformed objects A2, B2 when the mold 1 is closed and a molten foamable thermoplastic resin C1 is supplied to the cavity. Then, the volume of the cavity is increased to foam the molten foamable thermoplastic resin C1 to form a foamed thermoplastic resin inner layer C2 and the fiber reinforced thermoplastic resin preformed objects A2, B2 are formed into a fiber reinforced thermoplastic resin outer layer D to integrally cover the inner layer 2 with the outer layer D to obtain a lightweight fiber reinforced thermoplastic resin molded object E. |
