<p>The odour-reducing medium is in the main chlorine-free, and contains an oxidation agent, viz. potassium permanganate, and a flocking medium which is iron sulphate. Also incorporated is a superphosphate fertiliser medium for absorption of ammonium. The medium is prepared as a powder, and is perfumed. When it is dissolved in water a soln. results which is neutral and has an alkaline reaction.</p> |
