PURPOSE:To provide a small-sized optical connector type total reflection end which can be incorporated in an optical equipment. CONSTITUTION:The front part of an optical fiber 2 having a prescribed length is inserted in the small diameter hole of a ferrule 1 for the optical connector a housing attaches to, and the back part of the optical fiber 2 is fixed and arranged on the axial center of the large diameter hole of the ferrule 1 with resin 3, both end faces of the ferrule 1 with the optical fiber 2 inserted, fixed and arranged are vertically ground while exposing the end faces of the optical fiber 2. Then, the end is as large as the optical connector and also small, so that it can be incorporated in the optical equipment. And also, the conventional optical connector can be used, so that one optical fiber 2 can be easily connected with the other optical fiber 2, and also, the end can be obtained at a low cost. |
