PURPOSE:To secure the communication channel of a normal system and to ensure the effective utilization of electric power of an earth station by stopping the supply of power to only the circuit of a relevant transmission or reception system when an unrecoverable fault occurs. CONSTITUTION:When a transmission system alarm detection signal 1 is supplied from a transmission system circuit 8, a power control circuit 3 decides whether the alarm shows an unrecoverable fault or not and then outputs a supply power control signal 4 to a power circuit 5. The circuit 5 applies the ON/OFF control to the transmission system supply power 6 in response to the signal 4. When a reception system alarm detection signal 2 is supplied from a reception system circuit 9, the circuit 3 decides from the signal 2 whether a device fault is identical with a primary alarm or not and produces the signal 4 of a reception system. Then the circuit 5 applies the On/OFF control to the reception system supply power 7 in response to the signal 4. When the circuit 9 has an unrecoverable fault, the circuit 5 turns off the power 7 based on the signal 4. |
