PURPOSE:To provide a bankbook processor, which can save charging by shortening the time for occupying a line and can prevent operation errors in a device for disconnecting line when operation interval time is prolonged at the time of a bankbook write-in operation. CONSTITUTION:This bankbook processor is provided with an input means 6 for inputting transaction data, read/write unit 3 for writing and reading magnetic data to a bankbook 1 and printer unit 4 for performing printing on the bankbook 1, separates at least one of the read/write unit 3 and the printer unit 4, connects 1 by a cable 7 and prints the response print data of a host device 8 based on the magnetic data and input data. The device is provided with a first time counting means 11 starting at the time of completing reading the magnetic data so as to count prescribed time and when the bankbook 1 is inserted to the printer unit before the prescribed time is counted, the transaction data are printed but when the bankbook is not inserted even after the prescribed time is up, the line is disconnected. |
