PURPOSE:To make it possible to prevent any shock when performing the transfer of windings in a permanent magnet motor. CONSTITUTION:A double motor 12 is formed by coupling motors A and B with a differential gear 10. When the rotating speed of an output shaft 24 of the double motor 12 has shifted from the low rotating speed zone to the high rotating speed zone or from the high rotating speed zone to the low rotating speed zone, an ECU30 controls a contactor 32A and 32B and performs coil transfer for motors A and B. Coil transfer timing for the motor A should be different from the coil transfer timing for the motor B. When performing the coil transfer, the ECU30 controls an inverters 28A and 28B and control the output torque of the motor A or B to zero for coil transfer. As stated above, no shock is accompanied with the coil transfer because the coil transfer is performed when the output torque is zero. |
