<p>PURPOSE:To allow the system to cope with requirements of the EDTV by applying time division to a scanning line of a TV signal into a prescribed sample value and sending required digital data according to the unit. CONSTITUTION:Among sampling numbers 768 in a video period 2 in a scanning line of a non-picture part of a letter box type TV signal, 756 sets of signals S3-S758 are used for objects to which an identification control signal is superimposed, and 7 periods of chrominance subcarriers fsc are used for a unit and three multiple of units are provided. Then each unit corresponds to a phase of a horizontal synchronizing signal and an identification control bit of 3X9=27 bits are utilized. Thus, the identification bit signal is sent and a subcarrier 16/7fsc required for multiplexing a horizontal high frequency reinforcing signal is easily extracted by a receiver.</p> |
