<p>PURPOSE:To detect the connection, where the cell loss occurs, with small-scale hardware and to recognize the quality of connection units by detecting the connection where the cell loss occurs and counting arriving cells and lost cells of this connection to measure the number of lost cells. CONSTITUTION:In the time of one cell time slot, a buffer controller 101 performs VPI/VCI discrimination processing and lost cell detection processing. A retrieval processing part 102 performs retrieval processing to detect whether the cell whose VPI/VCI number is discriminated is registered or not, and a register processing part 104 performs register processing of the number of arriving cells and the number of lost cells as cell loss information of this cell, the time stamp, and overflow. A substitution processing part 103 performs OF update processing and substitution candidate retrieval processing, which selects a substitution candidate address in a measurement result storage memory 145 for cell loss information, in the time of one cell time slot.</p> |
