PURPOSE:To prevent the damage of an elastic contact piece due to a protective cover kept opened in oblivion by forming a hook section on the protective cover, forming a hook reception section receiving the hook section on a mating connector, and automatically closing the protective cover when the coupling between a connector and the mating connector is released. CONSTITUTION:A hook section 9d is provided on the knob of a protective cover for a hooking function. A hook reception section 20 erected through a printed wiring board 13 is provided on a mating connector. When a connector is coupled with the mating connector, the hook section 9d is coupled with the hook reception section 20. When the connector is to be removed from a mating case, the hook reception section 20 of the mating connector is coupled with the hook section 7c of a protective cover, and the protective cover is extracted and moved in the closing direction in conjunction with the release of the coupling. The protective cover is returned to the closed state when the coupling is released. The protective cover can be surely set to the closed state, and the damage of an elastic contact piece due to the protective cover kept opened in oblivion is prevented. |
