<p>PURPOSE:To effectively prevent the wrong detection of an adjacent traffic lane and the undetected state of an object on the own lane in a frequency modulation radar device. CONSTITUTION:Frequency-modulated wave radiated from a transmitting antenna 18 and reflected by a detected object is received by an receiving antenna 20 and combined with a part of a transmitted signal by a mixer 22 so as to generate a beat signal. The beat signal is supplied to a wave detecting circuit 28 so as to be converted into a pulse signal using the threshold value and supplied to a signal processing circuit 30. The threshold value is supplied from a threshold value generator 38 according to the type of a vehicle judged by an image pickup device 32, an image processing device 34 and a vehicle type judging element 36, and the threshold value is set larger as the reflection intensity is larger.</p> |
