The present invention relates to small wheels which can be completely locked and which allow an object of the furniture or similar type to run along the ground, as well as allowing these objects to be held in place at a given location. The small wheel according to the invention is essentially characterised in that it includes a casing 1 with a mid-wall 2, two rollers 4, 5 mounted in rotation about a spindle 7, a pivot 10 mounted in rotation on the casing about an axis 12, each roller including a plurality of grooves 21, 22, a pedal 23 including an end made in two parts 25, 26, a stud 28, 29 integral with each part and able to interact with one of the grooves, means 30 for moving the pedal upwards so that, on the one hand, the two end parts of the pedal are situated on either side of the wall 2 and, on the other hand, so that the pedal can assume an unlocked position and a locked position, and means 40 for locking the rotation of the pivot 10 depending on the movement of the pedal 23 when it changes from its unlocked position to its locked position. <IMAGE>
