PURPOSE: To provide a shared intelligent memory exchange. CONSTITUTION: This computer system device is composed of plural nodes or cells connected with each other so as to provide a shared memory in a processor in a network. The respective nodes are provided with the processor, the shared memory and a communication interface and the K pieces of zippers provide an exchange function for mutually connecting the processor and a distributed memory for providing.the shared memory. As a result, a multi-port shared intelligent memory exchange connects (exchanges) many computer system elements including a computer and a direct access storage device. The multi-port shared intelligent memory exchange is organized to the set of the nodes and the cells and is called a hedgehog. The respective nodes are provided with a finite computer memory, the processor and the communication interface and at least K pieces of the nodes are provided with a zipper port. The computer system element is provided with the features of the exchange and the shared memory. |
