This straddle tractor with hydrostatic transmission includes a chassis (1) equipped with guiding and possibly driving front wheels (2), each front wheel (2) being supported by a bracket (3), the two front wheel/bracket assemblies being secured to one another and constituting the front track, and with driving rear wheels (4) constituting the rear track. The tractor has an underslung implement (12) fastened and mechanically coupled in the region of the front track. The rear track is adjustable in terms of width so as to allow the underslung tool (12) to be fitted by driving the straddle tractor over the said tool. <IMAGE>
