PURPOSE: To provide a sensor which keeps stability for a long period and of which interaction with a member to be detected during the film formation, is completely reversible, by measuring the conductivity of the fullerence film interchangeable with the member to be detected in the fluid medium into contact with a pair of electrodes on a substrate. CONSTITUTION: The conductivity of a fullerene film 6 interchangeable with a member to be detected in a fluid medium kept into contact with a pair of double comb electrodes 3, 4 on a substrate 2, is measured. The aqueous vapour or water as a substance for accelerating the interchanging action, is added to the fluid medium, the member to be detected and the fullerene film 6, and the member to be detected and the fullerene film 6 have the similar proton affinity. The fullerene film 6 can be formed by, for example, the metal doping of the fullerene. In addition, the pair of electrodes 3, 4 are provided with the films of C60 and C70 fullerene preferred. The fullerene may exist as pure C60 and C70 , or as the mixture. |
