PURPOSE:To prevent the performance deterioration of an optical element array housed in a package and to provide a parallel optical module suitable to its miniaturization. CONSTITUTION:The optical element array 3 constituted of a light emitting element array, or a light receiving element array and an IC 5 for driving the optical element array 3 are housed in the package 2 for forming the outer shell of the parallel optical module 1, and plural screw holes 11 are formed on the rear side of the package 2. And the parallel optical module 1 constituted in such a way is mounted on the upper surface of a radiating fin 15 by inserting screws in the screw holes 11 and screwing. The generated heat from a driving IC housed in the package is efficiently radiated by the radiating fin. |
