PURPOSE:To prevent erroneous function due to noise and unwanted generation of ozone when a high voltage power supply produces output erroneously upon turn ON or turn OFF of an electrophotographic unit. CONSTITUTION:The high voltage power supply for corona discharge comprises a boosting means 4 connected with a DC power supply, a switching means 5, means 3 for detecting output voltage or current level, and means 2 for controlling the switching to obtain a predetermined detection level. The high voltage power supply further comprises means 1 for detecting the input voltage level, and means 6-9 for stopping the operation of the power supply circuit depending on the voltage level detected by the input level detecting means 1. |
