PURPOSE:To detect a fault position without making a telephone call to the other party by providing a self-diagnostic function in a device. CONSTITUTION:This system is provided with a 1st selector 113 which switches between the output data of a source encoding part 102 and the output data of a video separating and encoding part 109 and defines as input data to a source decoding part 108, a 2nd selector 114 which switches between the output data of a video multiplexing and encoding part 103 and the output data of a receiving buffer part 110 and defines as the input data to a video separating and decoding part 19, a 3rd selector 115 which switches between the output data of a transmitting buffer part 104 and the output data of a transmission and decoding part 111 and defines as an input to the receiving buffer 110, a 4th selector 116 which switches between the output data of a transmission and encoding part 105 and data inputted from a video decoding input terminal 120 and defines as the input data to transmission and decoding part 111, and an abnormality detection part 112 which compares local reproduced image data outputted from the source encoding part 102 with reproduced image data outputted by the source decoding part 108 detect abnormality. Further, the system is equipped with the self-diagnostic function. |
