PURPOSE:To provide a copying machine which is friendly to a user and to improve overall copying efficiency by setting a resuming function or a standard mode which can be made to comply with the various desires or the user and simplifying complicated mode setting work. CONSTITUTION:A non-volatile RAM 703 storing at least one or more present mode states, a ROM 702 storing the standard set of at least one or more action modes and a CPU 701 setting the mode based on the content of the ROM 702 when the action mode is set to the standard mode in a lump (mode clearing, automatic clearing, automatic shut-off or the like) and setting the mode based on the content of the RAM 703 when a power source is turned on are provided. |
