PURPOSE:To reduce worker's load and to collect accurate data. CONSTITUTION:This merchandise change managing mechanism is provided with a sensor 3 including a sell-out sensor for detecting the absence of merchandises in each column, an upper flow rate sensor for detecting the charge of a merchandise to each column and a fill-up sensor for detecting filled state of merchandises in each column, a bar code reader 5 for reading out the merchandise code of a merchandise 10 to be substituted and information processing means 4, 13 on the automatic vending machine (1) side and computer center (12) side which are allowed to count up the number of stored merchandises based upon the operation of the upper part flow rate sensor after driving the sell-out sensor, recognize the current number of stored merchandises as the maximum number of stored merchandises when the fill-up sensor detects the filled state of the column at the time of completing merchandise changing work, and when the filled state is not detected, acquire the maximum number of stored merchandises from the merchandise code and the column based upon a data base 14. On the other hand, the maximum number of stored merchandises can be uniformly acquired from the merchandise code and the column based upon the data base 14. |
