<p>PURPOSE: To prevent the temporary break of a screen at the time of switching a mode by generating reset signals from switching signals and resetting a background screen reproducing part. CONSTITUTION: Video signals reproduced from a laser disk player 10 are inputted through a switching part 30 to a video signal processing part 40, normally signal-processed and then, inputted to a TV monitor 70. Then, when a stop/ temporary stop mode is selected by a mode selection part 60 for background screen reproduction during a normal reproducing operation, a control part 50 detects the mode and immediately impresses the switching signals to the switching part 30. At the time, a reset signal generation part 80 detects the switching signals and resets vertical synchronizing signals outputted from a background screen generation part 20 by impressing the reset signals to the background screen generation part 20. Thus, simultaneously with mode changeover, a background screen is reset.</p> |
