PURPOSE: To provide information from a CD-ROM in the form of an easily understandable language expression and in a desired form by extracting and outputting data of a prescribed language expression from the CD-ROM of another language expression in a prescribed form. CONSTITUTION: This other language CD-ROM information retrieval device 1 is provided with a processor 3, a display 5, a keyboard 7, a mouse 8, a CD- ROM device 9, an extension flexible disk device 11 and a printer 13. The CD- ROM device 9 reads the CD-ROM 15 and the extension flexible disk device (added FD device) 11 reads and writes a flexible disk 17. Then, such an other language CD-ROM information retrieval device 1 extracts other language data from the CD-ROM 15, converts the data to the language data of the prescribed language expression and outputs the language data in the prescribed form by the printer 13 or the extension FD device 11. |
