PURPOSE:To arbitrarily and simply change the beam diameter of a light beam in accordance with the various kinds of specifications of a disk shaped recording medium and to easily manufacture the master disk of the disk shaped recording medium according to the various kinds of specifications. CONSTITUTION:By irradiating a photoresist film 3 formed on a circular substrate 2 with a laser light L1(L2) modulated based on the recorded data and exposing/recording a data pattern on the film based on the recorded data, the master disk of an optical disk is manufactured. In this laser cutting device, a beam diameter transforming optical system GPO for varying the diameter of the laser light L1 is provided between a groove optical system G and a mirror M3 introducing the laser light L11 from the groove optical system G to the side of an objective lens OB. A beam diameter transforming optical system PPO for varying the diameter of the laser light L2 is provided between a pit optical system P and a mirror M5 introducing the laser light L2 from the pit optical system P to the side of the objective lens OB. |
