PURPOSE:To use a diode with larger current than that of prior art by eliminating a malfunction such as burning of a bonding wire, peeling of a diode chip, and improving a heat dissipating effect. CONSTITUTION:The diode comprises a metal stem 1 having a male threaded part 1a on an outer periphery, a metal cap 2 having a female threaded part 2a to be engaged with the stem 1 on its inner periphery and heat dissipating fins 2b formed on an outer surface, a lead terminal 3 passed through a metal vessel of the step 1 or the cap 2 and supported via an insulator 7, and a diode chip 5 sandwiched between the stem 1 and the cap 2 by engaging and brought at electrodes into contact with an inner end of the terminal 3 and the vessel of the other side not supported thereon. |
