PURPOSE:To prevent an unequal contrast and to improve a display grade by sticking conductive materials to a pair of substrates provided to face each other with a liquid crystal held therebetween before sticking polarizing plates to these substrates. CONSTITUTION:A copper foil tape 8 having conductive particles in an adhesive is stuck to terminals 3a for connecting external circuits exposed from the ends of glass substrates 1a, 1b by a parting treatment prior to the stage for sticking the polarizing plates. This tape is stuck to the region near the end of the glass substrate 1a on the terminals 3a so as not to hinder the connection of a TCP (wiring board) 9 to the terminals 3a. The potentials of all the electrodes of the terminals 3a formed on the glass substrate 1b are, therefore, equaled. As a result, the generation of the static electricity in the production process for the device and the partial accumulation of charges in a liquid crystal panel occurring in contact with materials having the charges are prevented. |
