<p>PURPOSE:To provide a multi-element pyroelectric detector having excellent performance in which fluctuation is suppressed in the sensitivity or temperature characteristics and optical interference is prevented between light receiving electrodes. CONSTITUTION:A single pyroelectric element 1 is arranged in a container 12 having an infrared ray transmission window 13 and a plurality of pairs of electrodes 2-5, comprising light receiving electrodes 2A-5A and compensation electrodes 2B-5B having identical shape, light receiving area and light receiving sensitivity, are arranged point symmetrically on the window side surface of the pyroelectric element 1 wherein the compensation electrodes 2B-5B are shaded.</p> |
