The solenoid control valve (20) for fluids in a pipe is open in the unexcited state and closes as far as an adjustable position when current is fed to the solenoid. There is a controller (24) for it and a subsequent solenoid stop valve (22). The control valve has a spring-loaded conical valve needle (52) attached by a pushrod to the armature (44) in a housing on the other side of the supply pipe (46). The adjustment of end stop is by means of a screw (60) with a tapered end, against which the bevelled edge of the piston (56) abuts. The armature is also spring-loaded, but the net spring force is in the keep- open position.
