摘要 A dynamic mousetrap logic gate 100 implements a self-timed monotonic logic progression via a vector logic method, in which a vector logic variable is defined by a plurality of vector components 132 situated on respective logic paths. Boolean and non-Boolean variables can be represented. Timing information is encoded in the vector logic variable itself by defining it as invalid when all the vector components are a logic low, and valid when a subset of the vector components are high. Subsets defining valid vector logic states are nonoverlapping. Each gate component 112, 114 has a precharge arming mechanism 118, a ladder logic section 122, and an inverting buffer 124. Applications to carry-out propagation logic and Booth type multiplication are given. <IMAGE>
