Clutch wire damper

In a clutch wire vibration damper (1) the spacing between individual wires (4) increases from both end fixings (2) to a maximum at the mid-point (20). The wires (4) form a bow shape and there are no wires (4) along the centre axis of the damper (1). Individual wires (4) are completely embedded in vulcanised rubber (10), e.g. natural rubber or plastic, e.g. polyurethane which holds them apart.
