The lining consists of a binder on the road surface with admixed, suitable mineral substances, pref. in commercially available clipping granules. Both the mineral substances and binder are heated to a water-free state prior to admixture of the mineral substances to eliminate water and steam from the contact surfaces of both.The binder penetrates more strongly into the pores and capillaries of the mineral substances for intensive adherence, due to vacuum generated in the mineral substance pores etc. by water evaporation and by cooling of the hot pore air.
