The present invention provides a new music notation system having a staff with at least one group of three lines and one group of two lines that is easily distinguishable from the conventional staff. Also provided are pitch notations for use with the new staff, including complete individualization of noteheads for all twelve pitches in an octave. The system also provides octave marks for indicating the octave in which pitches are recorded and graphic symbols for dividing measures of music. |
