SPARE ROLL CHANGING DEVICE AND SPACER INTEGRATED ROLL

A sole plate (11) mounting roll stands (12), (13) thereon is releasably mounted on a forming machine bed. The roll stands (12), (13) are carried together with the sole plate (11) so as to accomplish roll changing at one time. Roll shafts (21), (22) are cantileveringly supported by means of a cantilever supporting device (40) in such a manner that the end portions on the working sides thereof are free. The working side stand (13) is removed from the sole plate (11) by means of a working side stand mounting/demounting device (51) and sufficiently separated therefrom. A roll mounting/demounting robot (65) is moved to between the sole plate (11) and the working side stand mounting/demounting device (51), and rolls (25) are pulled off or fitted on the roll shafts (21), (22). The roll (25) and a spacer (27) are integrally joined together into a spacer integrated roll (29), and the roll mounting/demounting robot (65) removes or mounts the rolls (25) by grasping the spacer (27) portion. According to this device, it is possible to remarkably improve work efficiency in off-line changing of rolls, in other words, changing of spare rolls, in a cold roll forming machine and the like.
