IC engine powered vehicle

A vehicle has at least two longitudinal chassis rails (2, 3) to which the IC engine (7) is attached and at least one transverse rail (4). This is elastically connected to the longitudinal rails. The connectors (12, 13) are aligned with the dominant vibration mode of the engine and with respect to the characteristic frequency of the vibration generated, the elasticity of the connectors is "overcritical". The transverse rail is linked to an axle.If it is a front end rail, the front axle lies behind it and the rail can carry a radiator grill, headlamps and the cooling fan.
