The refrigerator of stainless-steel or other non-diffusing material having a double-skinned hermetically sealed construction for evacuation and filled with thermal insulation, uses rigid internal frames (6) of prefabricated plastic section (6.1 to 6.4) mounted in contact with the inner surfaces (3, 4) of its storage cabinet (1) and door (2).The frames (6) are self-supporting and conform to the smooth inner contours (7, 8, 9) of the cabinet (1) and door (2) to provide preformed anchorages, slots etc. for the permanent attachment of controls/lights (6.5, 6.6, 6.7) or the removable accommodation of trays, shelves, grids etc.
