The combined gear motors (1-3) are energised individually or in groups for change of speed in stages. Pref. the gear motors act on a common drive shaft under identical, or different oil flow vol. per revolution.The combined gear motors actuate a common drive gear (4). The hydrostatic drive may be used also as a brake by throttling the oil flow at its outlet side.
