In the horizontal position an arrester becomes automatically effective to be released by pedals. In the post (10) is fitted a resetting spring (12a), tensioned during position changing to support a resetting moment.A coil spring (14) serves for resetting, abutting at the lower end a fixed member in the tube, while on top it abuts a slidable pressure plate (15). It remains compressed by one or several tensile ropes (16), secured at the top pressure plate and at the bottom on the base part opposite to the swivel region.
